Notable Projects

Balfour Beatty/Royland Contractors

  • Client – Balfour Beatty/Royland Contractors
  • Location – Olympic Park, Stratford, London
  • Scope – Utility Mapping Survey
  • Details – Since May 2017 Subsite Surveys have been assisting Balfour Beatty with their task of redesigning parts of the Olympic park. With a project value of over £100 Million, the 80,000 square metres site will see new roads, living space, office space and schools.

The project presented many challenges, largely due to the amount of infrastructure left over from the Olympics. Add into this, key services such as the main Thames water pipes for the city of London, it was clear that accuracy was a key ingredient of any survey work.

Our work so far has led to zero service strikes and has aided the project in all aspects of design. We hope to return to the project to assist further.

Watson Batty Architects

  • Client – Watson Batty Architects
  • Location – Leeds Bradford Airport
  • Scope – PAS128 Utility Mapping Survey (M2P) + Topographical Survey
  • Details – Ahead of a Major extension to the Terminal Building, Subsite Surveys were sanctioned to provide a high level Topographical Survey and a PAS128 Utility Mapping Survey, which included post processed GPR data. The works also included airside locations

Mace Group

  • Client – Mace Group
  • Location – The Embankment, Peterborough
  • Scope – Utility Mapping Survey + Record Search
  • Details – As part of a proposed new University Campus, Subsite Surveys provided a full site survey for an area of almost 250,000 square metres, our largest project to date. Although not originally Sanctioned, Pre-start discussions from ourselves, highlighted the need for a full Desktop Record Search to be carried out. This proved vital due to the existence of multiple large public sewers running across the site
